I think the brand should be more clearly suggested or visible than it is in the first image. I agree with many others' observations about the bg requiring simplification.

I think it is ok for the bg too be a bit reflective, but then you have to be very carefully with your light angles. The reflections should not compete in brightness with your products, nor should they be close to your subjects (unless it is a silhouette approach). They should be mild and mostly in the dead negative space to help in balancing the image.

Nice...!!! Keep the light color background to reduce the amount of light spilling onto your subject.

One additional point - The brush has some free hairs. If brush is your product, it will help them trim in real or in photoshop.
