The Himalayan Chandra Telescope of Indian Astronomical Observatory is located at Hanle, Ladakh at an altitude of 14,700 feet.

Th HCT was shot under 20% moon to get as much as clear data from the foreground. I was waiting for the moon to set so that i can retrieve more data from Milkyway, but to our badluck it was thundering and extreme cloudy when the alignment was correct. Me and my wife waited for another 2hrs after the moon set but sky was extremely cloudy and as it was thundering we decided to return back. But to my surprise Ladakh night sky are so incredible I could retrieve good amount of data from single exposure with beautiful green airglow.
