Have you tried Chilka ?
Its quite close to Vijaywada and last I went (7-8 years ago) it used to be literally teeming with flamingos.
This of course can change from year to year.

LRK in winters, Navi Mumbai. However the best is Porbandar in breeding season. They also have a festival for flamingo watch.

Closest that I have seen is in Jamnagar. They are absolutely indifferent to human presence too. Or you can go to any of the above places. Could get close enough for a portrait

Maharashtra is also a preferred spot for flamingo sightings, particularly in Mumbai and Thane creek areas. Here, Greater Flamingos and Lesser Flamingos can be seen, with the optimum time for viewing being between November and May.
