Title: Focus stacked Toadstool
Post by: manoj on February 20, 2024, 07:55:32 PM
Since there was a discussion on focus stacking on ISO's wonderful photographs of flowers, thought I'd share a photo where I focus stacked about 16 images to get this final one. Good sharpness on the subject with nice bokeh (bo-keh!!)

Gr8 shot Manoj. Stacking 16 exposures is not easy task.

Thank you, everyone.
@ISO, newer PS versions have the option to do it for you. So not very difficult. The source photos need to be good, though. On a tripod, uniform exposure (manual), same WB, etc. The end result will require less corrections.

Yes I had asked about stacking and I guess you have answered by sharing you pic, it really wouldn't do justice to see only part of the subject in focus. The leaf in bottom left is such a nice touch. In fact the part of leaf on top, little bend to left and the leaf on the grass angle upward, geometry is perfect not to say the color combination of yellows with red-orange. I feel it elivates this photo beyond just a macro subject against creamy bokeh.

This is what I like about sharing photos in a forum with like-minded people. People see what you yourself don't. TBH, when I came home and was processing the image, I wished I had removed that leaf on top of the mushroom. But what you observed gives it a new angle. Thanks for your kind words.
