What confuses me is the name of this bird, it is so very uncommon and yet it is called the common kingfisher. Yesterday, I went for birding and I found 25 of the white throated kingfishers and not a single common kingfisher :D :D

Ys, you are right. It's not so common compare to White-throated & pied Kingfisher, so i think it's old name Small lue Kingfisher was good....
