Very nice use of leading lines.
TFS
Very nice, but why B/w
Thanks Mukund.
Thanks Girish. Somehow I like B/W. Have since I started photographing long ago in the 90's. I had a darkroom and I developed my own film and printed my own photos. There was some magick in that process. Since that time I have been in love with B/W. I also love the charm of shallow DoF to really narrow down the focus. These landscapes are not of some grand vista and stunning visuals -- they are of ordinary mundane scenes around where I visit. I have tried to explore the forms and spaces. B/W removes the distractions of colour IMHO ;-).
You may find https://quasi.in/photography/ruia-naka.html interesting - shallow DoF, photos of the Ruia Naka shot in low light on film.
thanks for taking the time to see.

Hello, Abhijit sir.
Loved your images; especially your earlier post with the boats. I can see you are enjoying the CV 50mm f1. Can you please share from where you bought the lens? I use the previous 50mm f1.1 version that I got from cameraquest.com.

Nice series, Abhijeet. TFS.
For me #3 stands out as the most interesting/appealing.
The leading lines are equally evident in #1 and #2 as well, but when I ask myself what it is that stands out in #3, I feel that in #1 and #2 I am being led into the image with strong leading lines, but then it fizzles out as there is no obvious point-of-interest. OTOH, for #3 I am intrigued by the fence-posts themselves, and the relationship of the in-focus post with the OOF ones.
Hi Arindam,
Thanks. I purchased the lens at https://www.mysticfocus.in/ . I highly recommend them as Sandeep, the owner, is very engaging, helpful and responsive. I have 3 of their manual lenses - 35/1.2, 65/2 and now the 50/1. All outstanding.
regards,
Abhijit
