Thanks for sharing this . Brings back memories of my days in Kolkata. It was more of a ritual to be present for boimela every winter with family and friends. Books , food , adda , music .....all coming together for that perfect Sunday afternoon plan. While I am not a great fan of book reading , my son is and I wish to take him sometime in future to witness this mega fanfare.

Indeed, the Book-fair is a unique experience for book lovers and also for anyone who visits. It is very heartening to see, in this time of declining interest in books all around us, the Kolkata book fair showcases such a large volume of new and old content each year and finds takers in droves.
