Ode To Impressionism
Is there a meeting ground between painting and photography? Can a lens render like a paint brush?

Very graceful.  Yes, I think photography can speak the impressionist language too.

Your question is probably rhetorical, but if you like that kind of a look straight out of camera, you could consider going slightly OOF intentionally, or introduce some intentional motion in your subject with a slow shutter speed, or just move your camera while the exposure is made. The results are completely unpredictable but often end up looking like paintings.
