Title: Advice Needed: Wireless Microphone for DSLR/Camera, PC/Laptop, Android Phone
Post by: ckhurana on September 02, 2025, 12:40:12 AM
Friends,

I'm looking to buy a "wireless lavalier microphone set" that is compatible with -

- DSLR/cameras (I own a D500)
- PC/laptops
- Android phone (ideally with USB-C support for Samsung S series) from Amazon.com.

While I am in India but I have someone coming back from US in 15 days - so have the opportunity to purchase this from Amazon.com as well.

My Budget is around $50-$60 USD (I can go a bit higher if there are any options with great value)

I've seen options like the Hollyland, etc. but confused about the versions.

To summarise I need -

1. Wireless functionality
2. Need the mic to work seamlessly across all devices (especially DSLR camera, Android phone and PC/laptop)
3. Ideally 48KHz/24Bit audio quality
4. Decent range which covers typical vlogging/interview setups
5. Solid battery life

Any firsthand experiences, recommendations, or things I should watch out for would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

48kHz/24-bit audio is a high level specification and will not available in the under 100$ US price range.

For the specs & price you specified you have two options
1. Purchase a budget microphone and accept a lower audio quality.
2. Increase your budget to acquire a higher-end, more expensive wireless system that meets all your criteria.

Budget Options

1.  Maono WM600

Price: ~$50.
Connectivity: Connects to a DSLR using a 3.5mm TRS cable and to an Android device using a USB-C cable.
Audio quality: 48kHz/16-bit, which is a step down from your requested 24-bit but still suitable for many content creators.
PC/laptop compatibility: The USB-C output works with PCs and laptops.
Limitations:
Audio quality is 16-bit, not 24-bit.
No option for a second mic, as this is a single-mic kit.

2.  Boya BY-V10

Price: ~$30.
Connectivity: Plugs directly into an Android phone or PC/laptop with a USB-C port.
Audio quality: Features noise cancellation but does not specify 48kHz/24-bit. Lower sample and bit rates are more common at this price.
DSLR compatibility: You would need a separate adapter to connect the USB-C receiver to your DSLR's 3.5mm input.
Limitations:
Audio quality likely lower than 48kHz/24-bit.
Requires a separate adapter for DSLR use.

Higher End Options

1. Hollyland Lark M2

Price: $100+.
Connectivity: Includes a camera receiver with a 3.5mm jack, and separate, compact USB-C and Lightning adapters for phones and computers.
Audio quality: 48kHz/24-bit studio-quality audio with a 70dB signal-to-noise ratio.
PC/laptop compatibility: The USB-C adapter works seamlessly with PCs and laptops.
Includes: Two transmitters and one receiver in a combo kit.

2.  Boya Boyalink 2

Price: $100+.
Connectivity: Includes a single receiver with interchangeable 3.5mm TRS, USB-C, and Lightning adapters.
Audio quality: 48kHz/24-bit studio-quality audio.
PC/laptop compatibility: The USB-C adapter works with PCs and laptops.
Includes: Two transmitters and one receiver

My recommendation - buy nice, or buy twice  - Hollyland Lark is a solid mid-price choice
