Thanks.
The dark skies would be a few things:
Shots with the darkest skies are shot in peak afternoon light (12noon-2pm)
Clear skies without much haze.
GND filter on some of the shots.
A bit of punch in contrast and saturation in post.
The uncertain factor:
These are shot on a converted 5D classic, though I'm not entirely sure on what the conversion is. It appears to be a 590(ish) conversion, but I get a color swapped output straight out of the camera (jpg, as well as raw)
The shop I bought it from didn't have much history/knowledge about the camera or the conversion, it was a trade in.
The output though is beautiful.
Lovely set with vibrant colours !!
Lovely set with great colors.
(Can't put it better than hvyas, really.. :) )
Shoot a white background in sunlight without any filters and with color temperature set to 5600k.
Should give you some idea of the native output of the modified sensor.

I'll try that when we get some sunshine.
But the mystery is the channel swapped output.
Most IR filters will need you to do the colour swap in post, except IR Chrome, but the colour rendition is more 590ish than IR Chrome.
Fairly easy to get the IR Chrome colours with the output though, just a few slider adjustments in LR.
