Anyone using aftermarket spare batteries for the Canon 5D4, 80D or R7?

Any ideas on what works well?    I need 4 spare batteries for a trip to Africa, mainly as a critical backup (I rarely shoot enough to use up the 2 batteries in my vertical grip in a day), so dont necessarily want to spend a bomb.

I have used aftermarket batteries on all my cameras 550D, 90D, G7ZX-M2, Panazonix FZ330
My experience
1. They work, more easily for the likes of 90D and 550D , had some trouble with G7X-M2
2. They may not have as much juice and will definately degrade faster than the orignal, but not enough to offset the price benefit
3. Have not yet had a camera ruined due to after market batteries.
4. Online prices for afermarket battreis are dumb, go to your local wholesale market you'll save seroius money

PS: R7 being a newer camera they may have put some tech to discourage aftermarket batteries ( they do in G7X series) do check newer models

Another thing to watch out for with aftermarket batteries is that they can suddenly die (end-of-life) without any warning.

With DSLRs the restriction to use aftermarket batteries were quite less as compared to modern mirrorless cameras.

With newer mirrorless cameras it's better to check if the camera works with aftermarket batteries or not.
Shoot stuff I guess?
