These are the beginnings of a different type of GAS.

I liked the look of the VW Microbus (the Little Miss Sunshine one to be specific), and so acquired a scale model. Then I started to look for some other iconic vehicles to accompany it.

I want to do some forced perspective photography or some green screen stuff, but for the time being I'm happy with a small light box.

I have used an SMC Takumar 100mm f/4 Macro M42 lens on a Sony a6400. I closed the aperture down to f/22 to get depth of field, and plonked the camera on a tripod for long exposures. Sensor spot removal using FastStone. Here are a few samples of the output:

As usual, more photos on my Flickr.

Thanks a lot! Yes it is one of the cutest vehicle designs ever, especially in some colour schemes. It is a pity VW doesn't think of reviving it as an EV!

Nice pictures. You have a great collection of scale models.

Thank you. These are all in the range of Rs. 500-800. There is a vast money-sinking opportunity in the better-detailed 1/18 and 1/24 scales ;)

However, better payoff might be found in pursuing forced perspective photography, which I intend to learn.
