Hi,
I am based out of Gurugram and intend to buy a dry dry-cabinet for an ever growing stack of camera and lenses.
I have decided on 80-100 litre capacity and talked to the following :
1. Foto Center - Sirui cabinets available in limited sizes
2. Videolinks - Andbon( never heard about this brand except on Amazon it has good presence)

Questions:
1. Can someone share the credentials of dealer for Digicabi or direct me to a thread which has these details?
2. Is Andbon a brand which has post sales service presence here? Can anyone share ownership experience with Andbon?

Regards,
Kapil

I have a Sirui 50. I hope to outgrow it, one day, but my kit growth is now seriously slowed as I have most of what I want at the affordable end of the price list ;)

Current Videolinks page for Dy Cabinets shows four Sirui models. I don't see Andbon on their site

Fotocentre has 14 models over three brands.

I have a Andbon 80 (AD-80S) and got it directly from the distributor here in Bengaluru, so far it is doing it's duty. At the time of buying, for this money I could only get 50 in Sirui.

Thanks sir. I talked to both. Videolinks has only Andbon and FotoCentre is only having Sirui in limited sized and dont have any other brand( at least that is what they told me on call)
Any digicabi dealers/distributors?

Cheers! Then you are up to date, and they really should update their websites!

I am using a couple. The Digicabi 40 LT is working flawlessly since last 12-13 years and it was bought from Kalabhai Ltd in Mumbai. Back then they were the only source and they charged a bit of a premium. Having said that, the performance, at least in my case and in my knowledge in case of a few friends, used to be absolutely great, even if one discounts the very simplicity of the technology involved or perhaps because of that. I am not sure if they make them anymore or if they do if the high level is maintained.

The newer and bigger Sirui 110 LT was sourced from Anish ( Videolink ) about 3-4 years back and it's also working fine. As a dealer Anish's credibility is unmatched, I have purchased a lot of gear from him even though in Kolkata, my city, they are readily available off the shelf. Andbon has quite indifferent reputation in the market and I have always stayed away from them.

If I was looking for another one now, I would probably ask Anish to source me a Sirui, even if that takes a bit of time, with Winter on the way the humidity should be manageable for a few months down the road in most parts of the country.

Man two cents

Not in the south. At least, not in Chennai's always-humid climate. Winter is the the time of everything going mouldy!

Yes, in many coastal areas too. India is big and mostly a bit damp  ;)

Anyone has had experience with Photron brand?

It looks like Digitek & Photron are the only budget options that you should consider. Surui & Benro will be better but are expensive for the 80L-100L range.
Shoot stuff I guess?
