I have an Fuji XT-5 and a 50mm f/1.0 and a 16/1.4. I also have iphone 13 pro max.

Which tube extension is required for using the lens pointing as normal but converted to macro capability?

Any extension tube for the X mount. They come in sets. Just make sure you get a set that has electronic connections (AF tubes) for controlling your lens's aperture.

However, you need to check your lens's minimum focus distance first, and then stack tubes accordingly that give you a comfortable working distance with adequate magnification.

Always remember that adding tubes robs some of the light from the lens (inverse square rule). Your lens's maximum aperture will not be helpful as you'll need to close it down for depth of field. Therefore, unless you are doing macro photography in bright sunlight, you might also need to invest in a flash and/or a flash diffuser.

Hi
I have an Fuji XT-5 and a 50mm f/1.0 and a 16/1.4. I also have iphone 13 pro max.

I have suddenly developed an interest in insect photography. I understand that one can convert normal lenses into macro by adding extension tubes. Or by another attachment that enables the lens to be fitted backwards, but this option i am not keen on exploring.

Which tube extension is required for using the lens pointing as normal but converted to macro capability?

Also which is a good attachment for iphone to achieve macro capability (despite what one can find online, there is no way to make the iphone take decent pix with macro ability - the pix are distorted and over sharpened and dont look nice at all, regardless of whether one adds more specialized apps or not).

Thanks in advance for your responses.
