If you are not already committed to Adobe. In case you want to try something other than Photoshop to edit your pics, try Affinity.

No, I have been in the Adobe ecosystem for quite a few years and am not looking to switch. I do know that not everyone is happy with the subscription model or the cost and this seems a viable alternative for those who aren't committed to Adobe.

Hahaha. . It isn't the site or the software. It's people.
I also circulated this in a couple of photo-WhatsApp groups that I'm a part of. That's when I discovered there are two categories of respondents.
Category 1 : Recognizes this bit of information as a lead, follows up on his/her own and independently decides if this is for them. Or not.
Category 2 : Clicks on the link, reads 2 out of 10 FAQs, naturally is a bit fuzzy on the details, got back to the WhatsApp message and proceeded to bombard me with all their "what ifs". Asked repeatedly if I was recommending this over xyz app and so on. I am pretty sure that 3 months later if this does not work out the way they expected,  they will somehow hold me responsible for it. 
That's what prompted the afterthought :D

Thanks for sharing an important heads up . Probably everyone is aware of it, but what's the harm in repeating that Adobe CC subscription for photographers is available ( better phrased as was available about a couple of months back when I subscribed ) at below Rs.400, around Rs.380, per month. I was in the annual subscription which used to cost around Rs.800 pm, and I could terminate it and subscribe again at less than half the rate. You have to haggle over chat with their executives a bit, but that has worked for me. So check out if interested.

I must say your suggestion is fantastic. I was paying Rs 800 for Adobe photography subscription and listening to you I raised issue of discounted price with Adobe India through chat. Was able to reduce subscription to Rs 313 which is fantastic price.

If anyone wants to go through this route, take a packet of popcorn, put on a good netflix movie and then only initiate chat with adobe. The take about an hour for the same and you need to keep demanding discount. The first offered me Rs 630 per month and then offered 3 months free and then only approved Rs 313 per month.

Will also check the Affinity photo. My issue is having a lightroom equivalent in the system. Will check that too.
