Hi All,

Sorry if query feels silly.

I've been using Adobe subscriptions for years now recently saw few videos on Youtube that Adobe IS rising their prices with 50% hike, to my surprise i see that, all these years i've been paying Rs.797 for 20 GB Photography plan that they are actually offering for just Rs.318 for same plan. Are plans same or we missing something and why are they not offering the existing users with same plans.

Thank you.

Adobe India made a low-key announcement in July/August this year that they were offering the "photography plan" to new users for a reduced price until the end of the year. They did not auto-extend that price drop to existing users. Those initial few (I think Somnath Goswami was one of them) who successfully negotiated a price reduction passed on that bit of gyan to the rest of us on social media (including here, on this forum), and we did the same.
The increased pricing, recently announced, will likely be applicable after the present subscription cycle ends - whenever that may be for any user.

Anyone thinking of getting an Adobe subscription for the Photography Plan should do so now, it may not be so cheaply available later. New visitors to the Adobe India site will first see the original pricing - go past that - scroll down to see the reduced price.

How did you do that ? when I go to change from 787 to 318 it give a error page - plan not applicable
if I try to stop my existing subscription - its charging a huge early cancellation fees of abt 3.5K
Pls enlighten how you managed it

No, you cant in that method, it will show error, rather try on the Help chat and ask to straightaway cancel the 797 subscription and you buy a new 318 for a year which will be some 3800+ also see that you get a 3 months free, so in total 15 months for the paid amount. Be quick might end by 31st. And they also refunded my current month subscription with some deductions + GST.

Also they can only cancel you subscription but cant automatically migrate your plan, you will need to buy new yourself.

Oh...Really ?!!
So we need to "try the Help chatbot" even for canceling subscription ?!! Interesting !
I presume then that it wont be possible to delete card details (without canceling subscription with immediate effect) either even if you have paid up for the full 12 months. We need to remember to cancel in last month/week of subscription if we dont want to lose substantial money, isnt it ?

Once they proceed to cancel the subscription the card details automatically resets, we will be asked to enter card details while buying the new plan. All you have to do is disable the standing instructions if any activated from our bank/card. But i would advise to buy annual subscription to lock the plan. We will get a notification of next billing period and amount.

There's another catch, remember that you buy new plan on same ID credential so the Cloud documents, Adobe portfolio, Behance stays intact just in case if you intend to delete card details by trying remove the adobe account itself you will end up losing your Cloud based assets.
