In response to Member interest for Buy and Sell feedback, this is one of two sticky threads created for feedback within the Buy and Sell Forum.

This one, GRINS, is for positive feedback, and especially for exceptional situations wherein one goes the extra mile to please you in a transaction.

Lack of praise within this thread is not to be construed as a negative vote. The FROWNS sticky is for addressing that.

It is expected that most transactions in Buy and Sell will go smoothly, as they well should. So, feedback here is therefore optional, not regarded as essential or necessary.

I'd like to start off on this one  :)

Two sellers who've gone the  extra mile:

Posted his SB 400 flash for sale. Advertised as like new!. I spoke him a couple of times. Sounded down to earth. Since he is from Mumbai and stays around my colleague's office in Mumbai. I arranged to get the flash delivered and payment made face to face. He was ok with it.

Deal went off smoothly and i got the flash in a couple of days. It actually was like new ( showed it to the Nikon service centre at Ahmedabad and they certified it's quality).

Extra Mile event : The flash came without it's manual ( Naveen had in in the initial phases confirmed that it was not there). I searched for the manual online and found it. A couple of months later, Naveen actually found the hardcopy that had come with the flash and he called me and even sent me the manual. That's a few months after the deal was done with!!

The flash is now an integral part of my inhouse pics.

Recently, a friend picked up his 18-200 lens and he was very happy with his dealing.

Recommendation as a seller : Highy Recommended. Takes good care of his gear and now is also a good friend! We keep on sharing pics on and off  :D

Nirmalya had posted a Nikon remote which he had lying around. Value = Rs.200!!

I spoke to him i think once. He sent his bank details and i made the payment. He sent me the remote the very same day. Even though it was only a 200Rs item. You should have seen the way it was packed and despatched!! A piddly remote was foam packed and then sealed in a box and then despatched!

The remote still works btw!

Recommendation as a seller : High.

I have purchased three items from different sellers in this forum, and It was a nice experience dealing with them.

I purchased a Seiconic light meter from him, it was in mint condition as stated by him. It was delivered to my friend in Mumbai and  payment was made, later it reached me. I am very much satisfied with the deal. Flash Meter is working perfectly for me.

This gentleman is from Pune. I purchased a P&S Camera(Canon SX 10 IS) from him. Here also the camera was delivered to my Pune friend, payment was made. This camera is also in mint condition as told by him.I am quite satisfied with camera's working.

1. Abhijit Vaidya

Bought a filter from him.  He had packed the item so well that I was very happy at the care he took while sending.  Of course, the filter I received was exactly as described.

2. Sourabh Trivedi

I bought the SB 800 today from him.  He handed over the flash which was exactly as he had described in his offer. 

I am very happy to be dealing with people like these.  I hope people who buy/sell on this forum will have similar experiences.

Shobin George - well... he has already earned good name for his fair deals. I just bought a Nikon 35-70 2.8 from him.  He not only took pains to come all the way to Andheri from Chembur to hand over the lens (those who live in Mumbai know it's not a mean feat - sp. during rush hours!), he looked more concerned than I would be that I was fully satisfied with the product and I had a good deal.

Yusuf Motiwala... I am equally happy with this deal.... Indeed he was a very responsive person... Though our deal was a lengthy one yet we went through.... The way he packed the stuffs was stupendous... and thanks a lot for your lenses... they are too good...
          But one thing, 8) I wont part with them ever... They will be like my babies...

Thanks for taking the time to put it on record, Jay!  When I'd listed the SB400, I was merely seeking a "buyer", but ended up with a friend instead...
